The Genesis

The Genesis

Why Red Letter Legion?

It all started with a dream.

One night while I slept, the Lord gave me a vision so vivid I could feel the weight of it, smell the air, and hear every sound. I was standing in my church during worship—only this service was unlike any I had ever experienced. The presence of God was tangible—a thick fog filled the room, and the Spirit was heavy.

My pastor stepped up from the back of the stage, speaking in different tongues. He then stepped down and began walking the aisles. He walked up my aisle from the back of the sanctuary. He stopped next to me, placed his hand firmly on my shoulder, leaned in, and whispered something that would change everything:

“I need you to help me protect my church.”

I knew it wasn’t just my pastor speaking. It was the Holy Spirit. I woke up instantly—heart pounding, breathing heavy. Protect your church? Why does the God of the Universe need me to help protect the church? I wrestled with the meaning. Was it a call to protect physically? Spiritually? Why me?

Months passed, and the Lord began to impress a phrase on my heart: Red Letter Legion. I resisted. I didn’t feel qualified. I hadn’t gone to Bible college. Who was I to start something like this?

I didn’t have the answers. I still don’t have them all. Obviously, the God of the Universe doesn't need me to protect His church but I know what I experienced that night so I chose obedience. It was a call to action. A call to action to physically & spiritually protect my family, my community, friends, family, brothers & sisters in Christ, etc. in a world that gets darker by the day. A call to stand up and openly declare who I belong to and what I stand for. It's time to step out from the shadows and be the light of the world as Christ has called us to be in Matthew.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."- Matthew 5: 14-16

God doesn’t always call the qualified—He qualifies the called.

And so, Red Letter Legion was born. 'Red Letter' meaning we follow the one in the red letters (Jesus Christ) in most bibles and 'Legion' for the "many" brothers and sisters that make up the Body of Christ.

What Is Red Letter Legion?

Red Letter Legion is more than a clothing brand—it's a call to action.

We are a lifestyle brand built on bold, biblical truth. Our mission is to glorify Jesus Christ through edgy, polarizing apparel that sparks conversation, inspires courage, and reflects the "red letters" of Scripture—the words of Christ and all God breathed.

We design with purpose with deep thought. Not everyone is called to preach from a pulpit, but we are all called to bear witness. Our apparel creates opportunities—for seed-planting, truth-sharing, and soul-stirring.

Who Is Red Letter Legion?

As a former collegiate athlete, I understand the importance of team and community. We are husbands and wives, sons and daughters, fathers and mothers.

At our core, we are a those who love to live an active outdoor lifestyle living life with purpose.

The passions:

Self-Sustainment
Genesis 1:28 reminds us: “God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’”
We believe in honoring God by cultivating a life of self-sufficiency through His creation. Whether through hunting, fishing, farming, or other means of provision, we embrace the ability to care for our families, serve our communities, and steward the land with intention and gratitude.

Training (Body & Skillset)
At Red Letter Legion, we believe training the body and sharpening practical skills is a form of stewardship and spiritual discipline. Scripture calls us to live lives of intentional preparation—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 9:27, “But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” Physical training reflects our commitment to self-mastery and readiness.

We also recognize the biblical call to defend and protect. Psalm 144:1 says, “Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.” We believe God equips His people to act with courage and skill when danger arises.

Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Training isn’t only about the individual—it’s about strengthening the whole. Through physical effort, skill-building, and firearms training, we grow together in strength and unity, building a community prepared to serve and protect.

In a broken and unpredictable world, we are called to be watchful and ready. Nehemiah 4:14 urges: “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” This is why we take firearms training seriously—not only for the sport or discipline, but to be ready to stand in the gap for our families, our friends, and those who cannot defend themselves.

At Red Letter Legion, our highest mission is to see lives transformed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that true freedom, purpose, and healing can only be found in Him. As it says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” We exist to point people to the red letters of Scripture—the words of Jesus—because His truth has the power to break chains, restore hope, and ignite eternal change. Through discipleship, community, and a commitment to living out God’s Word, we stand on the promise of John 8:36: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Every part of our mission—whether through training, outreach, or stewardship—is rooted in the desire to see lives renewed, families restored, and legacies built on the firm foundation of Christ.

We are not perfect—we are called.

We are Red Letter Legion.

Are you willing to be the light on the hill, Jesus has called you too?
